University Writing Committee Minutes
April 14, 2008 8:00 a.m. Present: Michael McCord, acting chair; Sheri Erickson, Jill Frederick, Jarilyn Gess, Dawn Hammerschmidt, Stacy Voeller, Jean Sando (arrived after motions were completed). Absent: Steve Bolduc Review of Course Proposals: ACCT 460: Audit I: Erickson moved. Gess seconded to approve AACT 460 as Writing-Intensive. James Hansen was present to answer questions and provide a brief overview of the course writing components. The motions was approved unanimously. MATH 416: Mathematics in the Secondary School: Erickson moved. Gess seconded to approve MATH 416 as Writing-Intensive. Tim Harms was present to answer questions and provide a brief overview of the course writing components.
The motion was approved unanimously provided the above recommendations were made to the syllabus prior to APAC submission. McCord will review the syllabus prior to APAC submission and Hammerschmidt will review prior to the APAC meeting on 4/22/08. Additional UWC Business:
