This list is being compiled to offer students some ideas for what they may want to present at the Student Academic Conference. Please remember that this list is not exhaustive. The basic of premise of the conference is to provide a venue for students to share information or knowledge gained from their areas of study, work, or other interests. Many assignments that students complete as part of course, major, or work responsibilities are acceptable. For more information contact Conference Committee Members, your professors, supervisors, advisors, or department chairs.
If there is a particular project that you are interested in working on that is not related to any of the courses that you are enrolled in at this time, talk to your advisor or department chair for the possibility of registering for an independent study in which you would pay for and receive academic credit for research, presentation at the Student Academic Conference, and possible other requirements set forth by your advisor. This is a great opportunity to have your participation in the conference recognized not only on your resume, but also on your academic transcript.
Some ideas for presentations are...
- Basic Accounting Principles.
- Health and Physical Fitness Fundamentals.
- Personal Finance.
- Web Design.
- Basic Home Maintenance.
