Purpose:

Things to Accomplish:

Determine with Sodexho Services the meal choice for the conference meal prior to distribution of applications so the choices can be a part of the presentation application that is going to be distributed November. Work with the Program sub-committee to let them know what the meal choices are. The meal will be: Grilled chicken fettuccini alfredo/Grilled portabello mushroom alfredo for $6.50 per plate. This would include a bar for dessert, ice water and coffee.
Facilitate sales of tickets to the conference meal (those that don't receive a complimentary meal. Student Presenters, Volunteers, and Sponsors receive complimentary meals.
Develop a conference schedule: When the presentation sessions will be, keynote speaker and respondents, conference meal, wrap-up social sponsored by Career Services. *Suggestion from student survey, don't have 3rd poster session in the afternoon during the closing social.

Solicit the student (keynote) respondents from the Deans of the various academic divisions.

Revise the conference presentation application and have it printed in booklets of 10 to be attached to the conference posters to be distributed.

Facilitate discussions between the keynote speaker and student respondents leading up to the conference.

Develop write ups for the keynote speaker and student respondents and take photos for publicity/program purposes.

Review presentation applications, start to schedule presentations and communicate with faculty and students for needed information and suggested revisions.

Provide a summary of quantitative and qualitative information about the presentation applications to the publicity committee to use to market the conference to various constituents.
Prepare the conference program for print.
- Contact: Student Senate President, President Barden, Vice President Midgarden, IFO President, and Alumni Foundation President for updated letters for the conference program.
- Contact: Comstock Memorial Union (they operate info table), Alumni Foundation (Financial contribution), Counseling Center/Career Services (Sponsor of Closing Social), MSUM Bookstore (Conference door prizes) to see if they wish to submit 8.5" x 11" ads for conference program in exchange for services they provide.
Organize informational in-services for volunteers and student presenters through Dr. Shawn Ginther and Dr. Susan Humphers Ginther.
Communicate with student presenters via the presenter listserv.
Communicate with presentation mentors as indicated on the presenter's application via the advisors listserv.
