Student Organizer Position Description
Position Title: Student Organizer
Office/Department: Student Academic Conference
Basic Functions: Completing Projects As Assigned: Coordinating mailings, purchasing supplies, hanging posters, press releases, and other clerical duties. Great project management experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Hanging posters
Be a member of the publicity sub-committee for the conference
Coordinate various mailings
Look up student contact information
Submit press releases
Assist with set-up and tear down of the conference
Assist with the facilitation of the conference
Others as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Strong working knowledge and reliable user of e-mail, familiar with Microsoft Office software, ability to work independently, quality writing skills, well organized, and experience in programming or planning events.
Hours/Days of Work: No set schedule. Projects will be assigned and individual will need to respond by proscribed timelines. Student will be able to work independently and set own schedule to complete tasks. Last year 40 hours of work were assigned for the entire year. Some weeks there will be projects, some weeks there won't be.
