 Organización Latina Americana (O.L.A.)

About O.L.A.

Purpose: O.L.A is set up to enhance the knowledge of the Latin culture as well as propagate its richness and diversity.

  1. O.L.A will attempt to unify all that are of Latin descent as well as those who wish to learn more about the culture.
  2. O.L.A will try to promote awareness of the Latin culture among the Moorhead State University environment as well as its surrounding community through various events.
  3. O.L.A. will provide a learning arena for the education of different aspects of the Latin culture.
  4. O.L.A will enrich Minnesota State University Moorhead  in all aspects of the Latino culture through cultural events and presentations.

Members are active in organizing events such as the spring Unity Conference, food events, and socials. In the past, O.L.A has sponsored lectures, dances, theatrical presentations, poetry readings, movies, panel discussions, and art exhibits.  We also are very active participating in on-campus activities such as Dragon Fest, Homecoming, Dragon Frost, and the annual 4th of July Celebration.
