Evaluations

Student employees should be evaluated at least once during the academic year. Evaluations are a courtesy to the student and may prevent problems that could result in termination. Please take the time and effort to complete the evaluation carefully giving the student accurate feedback on his/her performance. Performance evaluations provide documentation of performance deficiencies and/or highlight outstanding performance.

After completing the evaluation, you need to schedule a time to meet with the student and review the assessment. This information will be helpful if you are called upon to be a reference for the student. You may use a form already designed by your department or you may use the Student Employee Performance Evaluation form designed by the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid.
