To know where we are going as a university, it is important to understand where we have been. Project E-Quality was created in 1968 after, and partially as a response to, the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as an attempt to provide qualified minority students with an equal opportunity for higher education.

The sections of this site are outlined as follows:

Overview is an in depth look at Project Equality detailing the founding of the program, its successes, failures, and its eventual evolution into another program, Education Opportunities for Minority Students (EOMS), as well as a brief synopsis of its effects on the students and faculty of MSU Moorhead.

Timeline is a summary of the major events surrounding the Project during its lifetime and its transformation into the Economic Opportunities for Minority Students program.

People discusses the different directors of Project E-Quality, their contributions, efforts and their impact on the Project as a whole.

Media contains newspaper articles, letters and interviews related to Project E-Quality. In the future, some of the interviews will be available in audio files.

Bibliography is a listing of the resources used in creating this site.
