2012-2013 Freshman Automatic Scholarships
Automatic scholarships make it easy - just apply and be admitted to Minnesota State University Moorhead. And these scholarships are renewable! A separate application is not required. New freshman students who are admitted and meet academic qualification are awarded automatic scholarships on a first-applied, first-awarded basis until funds are fully committed. Students must meet minimum admission standards for consideration (ACT score of 21 and rank in the top 50% of their class). Scholarship awarding is determined by the official composite ACT score and class rank reported at the time of application. Apply early and be considered for one of the following:

Valedictorian 21+ ACT and 100% class rank* $6,000
($1,500 per year; 3.5 GPA required to renew;
four year maximum)
Dragon 28+ ACT and top 50% class rank* $6,000
($1,500 per year; 3.5 GPA required to renew;
four year maximum)
Achievement 26-27 ACT and top 50% class rank* $5,000
($1,250 per year; 3.5 GPA required to renew;
four year maximum)
University 24-25 ACT and top 50% class rank*
OR $4,000
21-23 ACT and top 10% class rank*
($1,000 per year; 3.5 GPA required to renew;
four year maximum)
*ACT score and high school class rank are based on the official numbers reported by the high school at the time of admission. Students who meet the qualifications and apply for admission while funds are available will be notified by letter.
