About Me
Originally from Kentucky,
I have earned a M.S. in Library and Information Science from the Graduate School of Library and Information Science
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
I currently work as the Director of Instructional Resources at Minnesota
State University Moorhead and I am also attending NDSU, hoping to
earn a doctorate in Communication Studies. My professional interests include
privacy and communication, library instruction, information literacy, learning
styles, women's studies, reading/literacy promotion, educational technology, distance
education and e-learning,social justice, and studying all forms of computer-mediated communication. I also have a M.A. in English
(Literature) from Western Illinois
University. If you'd like, feel free to peruse my curriculum
vitae.
On the personal side, I am an avid reader. I also like to hike,
bicycle, and go to movies. I'm particularly interested in
non-mainstream/independent films (I am a regular at the Fargo
Theatre! and my Netflix queue is out of control.)
