The Dean of Graduate Studies is the academic officer charged with the primary responsibility for promoting, administering, and coordinating graduate education.

The Dean:

• promotes graduate programs in fulfillment of the University's mission
• coordinates graduate programs
• chairs the Graduate Council, the policy advisory body for graduate education
• oversees the development of graduate curriculum
• coordinates graduate admissions and graduation procedures
