The new MSUM e-mail policy applies to grad students too!

All official University business will be conducted via mnstate.edu email accounts. Email communication to students will be sent to the mnstate.edu email address exclusively.

Online coursework is facilitated when professors can quickly and accurately establish communication with enrolled students using 'official' personal inboxes on the mnstate.edu system. Important information, such as financial aid award letters, will be sent exclusively to mnstate.edu accounts starting this spring. As the year progresses, other important information regarding student status will be sent only to this account.

Therefore, it is essential that students access, read and use their mnstate.edu accounts.

Directions to sign up for a new mnstate.edu account are on the MSUM homepage. Simply click on 'email'. Please take personal responsibility to ensure you are informed.

This page is intended for your general information. This is NOT connected with the Kennesaw State University Office of the Registrar or with your records in any way and will not give you "official" information. These calculators work with information that you provide and is merely a tool meant for your personal use.

This script is intended to help you calculate your semester GPA OR your cumulative Science GPA. An Adjusted GPA calculator is also included below, which is the calculation you need when you repeat courses. Check the KSU Registrar's page for further instruction on calculating an Adjusted GPA.

NOTE: KSU uses the grade, quality points, and hours attempted to calculate GPA. Quality Points are counted as follows:

A = 4
B = 3
C = 2
D = 1
F = 0
WF = 0

Note : If you retake a course, do not list that course in the Cumulative GPA Calculator below -- it will add it as if it is a new course.

This calculator will tell what GPA you need for your next semester, year, etc. to reach a GPA goal. You just need to know your current GPA hours and current GPA. Then choose a target GPA.

COURSE-REPEAT GPA CALCULATOR (AGPA)

The calculator below will allow you to compute the effect of retaking a course with the new grade replacing the original one. Note: If you retake a course, do not list that course in the Cumulative GPA Calculator above -- that calculator will add it as if it is a new course.

To find your new GPA, use the Cumulative GPA Calculator inputting the non-repeated courses and then use the course repeat calculator below to see the effect of the repeated course. You need to know your current GPA and the number of credit hours you have completed and the number of credit hours and the two grades ( you can input either upper- or lower-case grades) for the course in question. Before deciding to re-take a course, please review the University's course repeat policy below.

When undergraduate courses with earned grades of “D”, “F”, or “WF” are repeated with a “C” or higher grade, the unsatisfactory grades and course attempts will not be included in the calculation of the adjusted grade point average (AGPA). The student’s permanent record and cumulative grade point average will retain all course attempts and grades. KSU Undergraduate Catalog 2008/2009 pp. 44
