We have Certified Personal Trainers who can help you achieve your health and fitness goals.
Personal training sessions can be purchased anytime throughout the year. If you are interested in personal training or are a new student or faculty member that has never received a free fitness assessment, you can get started by filling out the Personal Training Request Form online, or at the wellness center. After you have turned in your request form a trainer will contact you within a week to get you scheduled and answer any questions you have.
Each personal training session is designed specifically for the individual and their specific goals. Each session will also include individualized exercise instruction and a personalized exercise program.
Fitness Assessment
Your first session regardless if you continue to do personal training or not is the free fitness assessment. This is conducted by your personal trainer. Evaluations may include measures cardiovascular and muscular fitness, flexibility, and body composition. The assessment will take approximately 45 minutes. Fitness assessments are a great way to determine your current fitness level and get a program set for your goals. Body Composition Testing
Body Composition Testing
This test is done during your fitness assessment. We use the Tanita system of electrical impedance analysis (BIA). This method has very good accuracy in predicting body fat percentage when performed according to protocol. This test takes less than one minute and will provide you and your trainer with tools to measure your progress. This test includes a print out of your, % body fat, % lean weight, Lbs body fat, Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR); how many calories you burn in a day, % water hydration and more.
Wellness Key System
The Wellness Key System is a wireless smart key system that allows users to view their personal goals, exercise programs designed by their trainer and their personal progress.When a Smartkey is inserted into the equipment, the machine automatically starts and users are presented with a personalized routine to follow. Both our personal trainers and users can track and review progress or change the program at any time.
