Professor of Philosophy
Minnesota State University Moorhead
I have been working on metaphysics, philosophy of mind, and Buddhist philosophy.
For the past ten years, Buddhist metaphysics has been my primary research area. I am most interested in the East Asian understanding of dependent arising 緣起 and its metaphysical implications for Western philosophy.
I am originally from South Korea where the spirit of Zen and its practices are alive and well. A new interpretation and reconstruction of Zen for my contemporaries is also my research project.
