Snarr Hall Complex

If you're looking for a residence hall with a sterling academic reputation, look no further than East Snarr Hall.  The three-story coed residence hall is home to the Biosciences and Education learning Communities.  Each of East Snarr's three floors also boasts a quiet study room you can visit to review lecture notes, outline that all-important term paper or prepare for an upcoming exam.

East Snarr's rooms are comfortable and generously sized.  Men's and women's wings are separated by a common lounge and study rooms.  Need a break from the usual dinner fare and want to try one of your favorite recipes?  Each floor features a kitchenette that's ideal for preparing everything from a quick dinner to a seven-course meal.  And don't miss the spacious TV lounge on the main floor, where residents gather to study, socialize, catch up on viewing and just hang out.

Located in the center of the Snarr complex, West Snarr Hall enjoys the distinction of being the birthplace of Learning Communities at MSU Moorhead.  The first community, for Honors students, was established in West Snarr.  A coed residence hall, West Snarr is now home to both the Honors and the Living in Color Learning Communtiies, as well as students who have earned 30 or more credits.

One of the first things you'll notice upon entering West Snarr Hall is just how bright it is.  The four-story hall basks in plentiful natural sunlight, which streams through the hallway windows and brightens both mind and spirit.  Rooms in West Snarr are comfortable, generously sized and carpeted.  Each floor features a convenient study lounge, kitchenette and laundry room.  The main level features a TV lounge as well as a piano room - ideal for relaxing, catching a movie or socializing with friends.

Take just a few steps into South Snarr Hall and you feel it immediately:  An overwhelming sense of community.  It's a feeling of belonging that's reinforced by the three spacious lounges South Snarr boasts on its main level.  The TV lounge is a great place for socializing with friends or fellow residents.  The piano lounge is a popular destination for cracking the books, quiet conversation or to tap out a few notes on the piano.  And the study lounge is a great place to review lecture notes and prepare for that upcoming exam.

South Snarr is a coed residence hall, with men's and women's wings separated by the lounges.  South Snarr's rooms look and feel spacious.  Beds can be lofted, and all furniture is moveable, allowing you to make the most of the space your room provides.  South Snarr also features quiet study lounges on each of its four floors.  Laundry facilities and kitchenettes, too, are just mere steps away on each floor.
