What is Desire2Learn?
Desire2Learn (D2L) is an instructional management system that is used to support both face-to-face and online courses. It includes the following:
- Content Delivery: upload documents of any kind, links to websites, etc.
- Communication Tools: chat, online discussion board, news, email to class
- Assessment Tools: online gradebook, dropbox for turning in assignments, surveys
- Organization Tools: online calendar, "locker" area
Desire2Learn is a privately-held company headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It has staff in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
