Resources for New Faculty
Use the instructions below as a checklist for getting started with offering your online or hybrid courses on Desire2Learn.
- Check whether your courses are listed on the eServices Course Schedule. Make sure your name is listed in the "Instructor" column. If not, work with your department or check with Records to update the course schedule.
- Request a new D2L account using the Desire2Learn Development Course Request form. A "devel" course will be created at the same time.
- Request course shells for the upcoming semester using the CourseCreator form. If combining multiple sections into one course shell, be sure to select all sections in one request.
- Log onto Desire2Learn.
- Refer to the Faculty training and tutorials to learn how to build your course. Contact Instructional Technology Services for the availability of workshops or one-on-one sessions (by appointment).
