CELEBRATION OF NATIONS

What is it?


Celebration of Nations is an annual event at MSUM in which international students set up booths displaying art, clothing and information about their countries. The students also cook traditional foods to sample, and provide entertainment of traditional music, dances, and a fashion show.

MSUM STUDENTS HOST CELEBRATION OF NATIONS

SATURDAY APRIL 9, 2011

Entertainment, food, culture, and fashions from around the world will be showcased in Celebration of Nations from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 9 in the Comstock Memorial Student Union Ballroom of Minnesota State University Moorhead. We are introducing a new section for the Celebrations of Nations -Kids Corner. Kids Corner is for chidlren any age. We will do fun events and activities for kids from 4:00pm until the program begins at 6:00pm.

Admission is $1.00  for adults. Children 12 and under are free. All food tickets are 50 cents.  Eight dollars should provide a good meal. Students and community members representing a variety of countries will exhibit items from their homeland, cook their unique foods, and share their culture.

Tickets are available at the door and are available at International Programs (CMU 229, MSUM) the week of the event.

The event is sponsored by MSUM's Office of International Programs and the International Student Organization.
