Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is affiliated with the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The PRSSA chapter at MSUM is active in bringing public relations professionals to campus and travels each year to regional and national conferences. PRSSA members create newsletters, operate Web sites, write news releases, conduct fund raising and manage events for clients on and off campus. The chapter has also run an agency, Positive Solutions, to aid non-profit organizations and small businesses in public relations campaigns. PRSSA students compete nationally in a yearlong research and execution campaign administered for a national client by PRSA. MSUM students have won and often placed high in the competition. Professor Bill Hall is faculty advisor to PRSSA.
