MSUM Classroom Presentation Systems
These are the instructions for the use of techno=
logy installed
in the following classrooms:
BR 262, 263, 357, 363
CB 112
LO 94, 98, 101, 202, 210
MA 172, 173, 269, 272
NZ 100, 204
WE 109
To use a Laptop or portable computer with projector you will need:
-VGA Male to Male cable,
-Ethernet cord
-1/8” mini to mini stereo jack audio cable=
if
you wish to use computer audio.
For Computer/Laptop display on projector
-Connect VGA cable to=
your Computer’s
connector and to the wall plate connector.
-Turn on Projector wi=
th the
Remote Control. (Projector takes 30=
-60 secs. to warm up)
-Turn on Laptop.
-To select the Comput=
er input
on the projector, press the “Computer” or
“RGB” button on
the Remote Control.
(look for prompt in the top corner of the projection im=
age “Computer” or
“RGB”)
-Your computer also needs to be set in the proper setting.
This
can be done in a number of ways depending on your computer model
- in most cases, turn=
on your
computer’s “Mirroring&#=
8221;
desktop function.
-do not use the”Extended
Desktop” settings.
-if you are having difficulty, contact Instructi=
onal
Media (2233) to make an appt. for set-up and orientation assistance.
-For computer audio, =
connect
an 1/8” mini to mini cable to you computer’s audio output and the corresponding connector on the wall
plate. The audio settings on =
your
computer may also have to be adjusted.
For DVD/VCR use
-Turn power on player=
-Insert DVD or VHS ta=
pe into
machine.
-Select DVD or VCR on=
the
machine.
-On the Projector Rem=
ote
Control, press the “VideoR=
21; button.
(look for prompt in the top corner of the projection im=
age -“Video”)
-Press play and/or se=
lect the
DVD feature you would like to use.
-Audio settings-The a=
udio
levels have been preset for the speaker.&n=
bsp;
To raise or lower the volume, use the Anchor speaker remote.
WHEN NOT IN USE, TURN THE PROJECTO=
R OFF!
High maintenance costs are associated with video=
/data
projectors including very expensive lamp replacements.
-To shut down press t=
he Power
button on the remote control once.
A prompt will appear on the screen asking if you would like to shut
down. Press the Power button =
again
to turn it off.
-Do Not try to turn p=
rojector
on or off repeatedly. Let the
projector cool down completely before trying to turn it back on again.
