"Psychology in the News" extra credit
The website listed below
contains links to stories from the news that pertain to psychology.
Select an article, read it, and type a 1to 2 page, double-spaced summary of the
article and your reaction to the article. For example, how does
the topic related to your experiences. Finally, end your paper with a
Question. Be sure to include the title of the story.
One summary will be worth 5 extra credit points (if you do an
acceptable job). Try not to directly quote from the article but instead
paraphrase the key points of the story.
The limit is 3 articles. Therefore, you may earn a
maximum of 15 points exercising this option.
A printed summary for each article must be handed in to Dr.
Nickell by Friday December 3th to receive credit. No emailed summaries
will be accepted. Please staple all of your summaries together. No, I do not
need a copy of the article itself.

Important notes: Ignore the press releases in the left-hand pane and focus on
the Psychology in the News section in the middle of the window. Notice that when
you reach the end of the stories on the first page there is an "additional
stories" link to go to even more stories.
