OUR MISSION:

The mission of the MSUM Department of Philosophy is to exemplify and encourage the intellectual virtues, in order to develop students' capacities for critical thinking and for clear thought and expression, to increase their understanding of enduring issues addressed in philosophy, and to equip them to critically and clearly reflect on basic values and beliefs.
