2000 President's Summer
Retreat Internal Communication at Minnesota State University Moorhead Discussion Group Results The
2000 Presidents Summer Retreat examined internal
communication at Minnesota State University Moorhead. A
fundamental purpose of the retreat was to generate
discussion regarding ways to improve our communication
with one another. To accomplish this task, retreat
participants were divided into small groups to address
how communication can be more effective with respect to
our institution's culture, the structure of the
university, resolving internal conflicts, announcing and
celebrating our successes, and the channels our
institution uses to share information. The results of the
small group discussion can be found by clicking on the
categories listed below. The results reflect the
suggestions and comments as generated by the retreat
participants in eleven of the thirteen groups. The data
