City and Location
Moorhead,
Minnesota and its sister city of Fargo, North Dakota lies
in the Red River Valley of the North, amidst prime agricultural land. The
naturally fertile soils originate from Glacial Lake Agassiz which flooded the
valley during the last glacial event and deposited the materials that became the
soil we use today. Once known as the “Breadbasket of the World,” the Red
River Valley ships world-class food and farm equipment and products around the
globe.
Education is
Number One
Moorhead and Fargo have four significant
post-secondary institutions,
Minnesota State University Moorhead,
North Dakota State University,
Concordia College,
and Minnesota State
Community and Technical College, with over 25,000 students
attending their undergraduate programs.
