Math 327 - Linear Algebra

Announcements: The class schedule has been updated with the changes required from classes being cancelled from 3/23 to 4/3.  Classes will resume on 4/6.  See the schedule page for the updated information.

The most important announcements are:

Both homework assignments from section 4.3 are due on Monday 4/6.

Exam 4 will be on Wednesday 4/15

Exam 5 will be on Wednesday 5/6 (which is now a regular class day)

The final exam will be on Friday 5/8 at 12:00 noon (unchanged)

(Posted Friday 4/3/2009)

Further announcements from the email I sent to the class, in case you've missed them:

Note that the university originally did not have classes scheduled on Friday 4/10, Monday 4/13, Tuesday 4/21 (for the Student Academic Conference), Wednesday 5/6 (Study Day), or Thursday 5/7 (first day of finals).  These are now all class days, and you should expect to attend your classes those days.  The finals scheduled for Thursday 5/7 will be given Thursday 5/14, so the semester is in practice one day longer for those who are not graduating this semester.  Graduation is unchanged, it will be Friday 5/15 as originally scheduled.

The withdrawal deadline has been changed from Mon 4/6 to Mon 4/13.

Registration windows for Fall 2009 registration have all been pushed back one week.  Log on to e-services to check your window.  This has been done to allow you time to consult with your advisors - so make those advising appointments.

Summer registration:  This has been open since before spring break.  You do not need an access code.  I would suggest that you talk to your advisor if you have any questions/concerns, however.  Sometime in "mid to late April" (the best date I have been able to get out of anyone), they will cancel classes with low enrollment - so don't put off registering for summer classes!  The first, short summer session is from May 18-June 5 - three weeks, and you'll get done about the same time that K-12 schools will get done - so it's a good session if you just need one course.  If in doubt, register for the class to hold your place, you won't have to pay for it until closer to the summer session, so you'll have a little time to figure out your schedule if need be. But you don't want the class you want/need to be cancelled because you didn't enroll early.  The deadline for determining classes is the same for the classes that start in June, by the way, so please register for those sections as well if you plan on taking part in summer session then. If you are under the old liberal studies program (instead of the Dragon Core), this summer is the last opportunity you have to finish that program, or you will be switched to the Dragon Core.
