 For the Benchmark you were assigned:

• Find at least two examples of middle school problems that would address your Benchmark

• Describe the key points behind the benchmark using the NCTM Standards/ MN Math Frameworks to support this as benchmark as a standard the nation or state feels is important

• What do you see as ways you as a teacher can help students develop the literacy in that field of mathematics?

In Class you will be in groups of 6 with each Benchmark assigned to one of you, so know what is expected of students by the end of middle school and have examples ready for your classmates
