• Read, Cooperating Teacher Handbook given to you by the university.

• Use the student teacher handbook as a reference.

• Meet with student/practicum teacher prior to the first day.

• Acquaint student/practicum teacher with the classroom procedure, discipline policy, and school-wide procedures.

• Acquaint student/practicum teacher with homework, late work, grading and attendance policies.

• provide student/practicum teacher with sample syllabi and course overviews.

• Provide student/practicum teacher information of the students with special needs in the classroom and the required modifications (IEP)

• Provide student/practicum teacher with a school tour and where to find instructional supplies.

• Introduce student/practicum teacher with essential personnel
