Experimental Room Sign-Up Information
When you receive official approval from the ethics board you are ready to reserve an experimental room. Go to the front desk and ask for the black book to reserve a room.
Only the following rooms are options (each has one computer):
BR 364B (small room off of the big computer lab)
BR 357A (one small conference table and separate desktop station; across from the baby lab)
BR
357C & 357D (small rooms in the same hallway as classroom 357)
BR 365 (Malone's memory lab)
BR 368B (in the same suite as the two social labs)
YOU MAY NOT SIGN UP FOR BR 359, 362, 364, or 367 even though they
are in the book.
You may sign up for 3 consecutive hours max in any one room. Limit of 6 hours per day for any one person please.
You are responsible for unlocking AND locking the room. Ask the front desk staff and they will assist you.
You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your
consent forms and response sheets. Immediately separate consent forms and
response sheets into separate folders. Do not leave ANY of your paperwork
behind...not for an hour or a day. You must always keep your paperwork
safe with you.
You may post a TYPED sign with your informal title and room next to your room
and in the hallway during the hours you are actively running participants.
You must take down the sign when you finish for the day.
Be DEPENDABLE--Do not leave a participant hanging. Call me or the front desk if you must get an emergency message to a participant. Cross out any un-booked appointments you will not be present for (otherwise participants may sign up last minute without you knowing).
Always have a clear and updated sign-up sheet posted. Highlight any special characteristics or qualifications. Always have Dr. Bergstrom's signature showing.
