In this section of the course you will be studying theories that hope to explain how people progress throughout their lifetime. Through out all of the theories presented you will find that the overriding reasoning for including this into your preparation as a future educator is to give you a general framework as to what you could expect from your future students in the following styles of human development. This section of the course covers the following theories: Cognitive/Piaget, Socio-Cultural/Vygotsky, Psycho-Social/Erickson, Moral/Kholberg, Moral/Gilligan.Below you will find links to helpful sites. You will need to have MS WORD software to open these files. When the dialogue box comes up simply choose to "open" the file.
