Motivation is the one and really the first question of Psychology.  It is the question that preceeds all other questions in the human experience.  How many of us have been driving along the road when another driver cuts you off.  You find yourself saying, "What in the "world" was that guy thinking?!!!"  What makes us do the things that we do?  What are the underlying causes of behavior?  What influence can I have on the causes of their behavior?  Great questions.
