Lecture Information:

Generally speaking, the Grand Round assignment for this lesson basically revolves around Kohlberg's theory of Moral Reasoning.  I am also not so exclusive as either Gilligan or Kohlberg seem to be.  You may apply either or both of the two different theories to your student if it helps understand your profile better.  From my perspective either gender can exhibit issues with self-sacrifice & social conformity, for example.

Basically, for this theory, you will place them in one of the stages of Moral Reasoning and then present behavioral evidence which supports your conclusion.  Please be sensitive to the concept that this is a theory about reasoning.  You need to, therefore, demonstrate the thinking that your student is using to arrive at the "right" or "wrong" answer.  Usually that means placing them in a situation that forces them to choose a way to act.
