Tests, Homework, etc.

There will be six problem sets during the semester, two midterms, an investment term project, and a comprehensive final.

No late assignments will receive full credit without written documentation of the EMERGENCY which caused the assignment to be late. If a test is missed without prior approval, the student must have written documentation of the EMERGENCY to receive a make-up test instead of a zero. Make-up tests may increase in difficulty from the original.

Assignments may be handwritten or typed, but are expected to be well organized and a legible "final product." Points can and will be deducted if the answers are difficult to read.

Any student in this course who has a disability the may prevent him/her from demonstrating his/her abilities should contact me personally as soon as possible so that we can discuss accommodations necessary to ensure full participation.

Any student who will miss a class in which an assignment is due or a test is to be taken to observance of a religious holiday must notify me at least one week prior to the date of the missed class to avoid late penalties or receive a make-up test.

Grades: There are 1000 points possible in the class and are distributed as follows:

Homework: Derivatives and FX

A look at stocks for the termpaper

These are both due Sunday Nov 10 by 10pm

I will grade them on Vet's Day and return them Wednesday.  Our Test is on Nov 15!!!

The midterm is over the derivatives chapter, the foreign exchange chapter, the LTCM video, and the Meltdown video.

I do not see the first video.  It is called the Trillion Dollar Bet in the US and was part of Nova.  The Nova site has the transcript, but not the video.  I will continue to search.
