This page, provided by the Minneapolis Fed, contains historical discount rate data from 1914 to the present day.

*1995 through 2005 Economic Reports of the President
The 1995 - 2005 Economic Reports of the President are available at this site (searchable versions are available from 1886-2005). This report contains a good deal of information on federal and state expenditures and receipts. Those interested in jumping directly to the data, may go directly to the Statistical Tables from the 2005 report.

This site provides access to a large variety of BLS time-series variables using a variety of form-based search procedures that make it possible to narrow the search efficiently. A wide variety of labor market indicators are available at this site.

This publication contains demographic, educational, crime, wealth, labor force, and other statistics for U.S. cities and counties.

This site, provided by the University of Virginia, makes it possible to download data from the 1988, 1994, and 2000 County and City Data Books.

This site contains a large collection of census summary tables that may be downloaded.

A collection of time-series variables for the period predating the system of national income and product accounts.

This site provides data on a variety of variables at the state, county, and SMSA levels from 1969 to the present.

A large collection of data and information. Subscribing individuals and institutions have access to more data.

The Census Bureau's home web site contains information on its programs and links to online sources of individual or aggregated cenus data. Data on housing starts and many other macroeconomic indicators may also be found at the Census Bureau site.

*U.S. Census Bureau - Data Ferrett
This service, provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, makes it possible to create extracts of data from any of the following data sets: After selecting the variables that you wish to extract from these data sets, a downloadable extract file is created and stored at the Census Bureau's ftp site. The use of this program requires a fair amount of free browser memory cache. Data files created by this program can be extremely large. Use this system carefully and be sure to only extract those variables that you require for your analysis.
