Our discussion on ethics involved two types of issues: legal/ethical concerns, such as those shown in the "Gilbane Gold" video; and moral dilemmas created when new technology might have secondary consequences, such as cloning of sheep leading to cloning of humans. Your assignment if twofold:

1. Click on the Ethics Survey to take a brief on-line survey of your responses to questions about actions that may or may not be ethical
   
   
2. Go to the library or the internet. Find a magazine that reports on current scientific or technical developments (Science, Popular Science, Newsweek, etc.) Find a new development for which you see a possible moral dilemma. Send me an e-mail telling me:
   - The magazine you're citing (name, issue, and page or web address)
   - The development you considered
   - The moral dilemma you foresee

This e-mail is due no later than Wednesday, November 19.
