John Morledge Sr. came to America and settled in Carroll County, Ohio about
1812. Hr purshased 320 acres of land, the SW ans SE quarters of Section 15 in
Agusta Township, in Carroll County. The land entry was dated July 4, 1817.
John's parentage is unknown, but he did have at least two brothers: Roger and
Joseph. John was the first of his family to come to America. After several
years John sent to England for Roger who came to America in 1821. John gave
his brother one quarter section of the land. In 1837 John and Roger sent for
