Summer Institute, 2009

At the beginning of June, 2009 the teachers participating in the grant spent five days at Minnesota State University Moorhead where they explored the American Revolutionary Era in a variety of ways including lecture and discussion, as well as playing "NEW YORK CITY IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, 1775-76," part of the Reacting to the Past Series.

After a week on campus everyone loaded on a bus to visit Historic Fort Snelling, the Henry Sibley House, and the Northwest Company Fur Post, all maintained by the Minnesota Historical Society in the Twin Cities area.
