The History Department at MSUM makes extensive use of a simulation pedagogy entitled "Reacting to the Past" (RTTP). This pedagogy was first developed by Professor Mark Carnes and his students at Barnard College in New York CIty. RTTP is an exciting and innovative way to understand the past--what was and what might have been--through recreating selected events in history.
Listed below are several sets of concepts all MSUM RTTP students should thoroughly read so you understand what the pedagogy is all about, and what is expected of you. If you are new to RTTP or an old hand, you should take the time to read through these points so you understand the game.
