It is no longer necessary to use the off campus access to databases drop-down list
for gaining entry into the Library's databases. 
The old drop-down menu you previously used on this page NO LONGER WORKS!!! 
Whenever you see a database link on any of the Library's web pages,
simply click it, and our new proxy server will detect whether or not you are on campus or off.

To log in from off campus, you will need
to enter your 14-digit library barcode number.
Your password is your ENTIRE last name. 

Once you have accessed one of the databases from off campus,
you may use other databases as well until you close your browser.

Problems with the A to Z Directory have been fixed, but you will have to delete your cookies
before you can access this directory properly.  Email voeller@mnstate.edu if you need assistance. (10/30/07)

Having problems logging in?  Please read the following:

All of MSUM's databases are available off campus to students, staff and faculty. Please follow these steps to gain access:

  1. Select the database from the drop-down menu.
    Note:  From an off campus computer, you MUST use the links on this page
    or click the     Off-Campus Access link underneath database descriptions
    or y    ou will not be able to gain access to these resources.

  2. This authentication login box will appear.

Access to this site is restricted to active library users only. Please enter your library barcode and password in the boxes provided below and click on log in to continue.

Notes:

  1. Your library barcode must be activated.
  2. You must be a library user in good standing—No blocks on your card
  3. Your browser must be set to accept all cookies for you to log in.
  4. If you restart your browser, you will need to log in again.

Can't find your 14-digit barcode number?
Check for it on your student ID.

However, off-campus access to databases is limited to current Minnesota State University Moorhead students, faculty and staff. This restriction is imposed by the database vendors, and enforced as part of our compliance with licensing agreements.
